Description: Village doctors in Southwestern China are climbing new mountains in rural health where the forbidding terrain has kept adequate healthcare out of reach from many of their villages. These part-time doctors, full-time farmers stand in the gap to meet the healthcare needs of those in their community. Most of them have little more than a middle school education. In response to the urgent need for training, a team of international doctors has started a medical program tailored for village doctors.
